John DeSiato, MSPT, COO
Chief Operating Officer
John received a BS in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1991. He then went on to receive a Masters in Physical Therapy from Washington University St. Louis in 1995.
John has over 27 years of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience managing a wide range of patient diagnoses. 15 of those years has been in leadership roles directing and managing clinical operations in addition to providing exceptional patient care. His career has now progressed into a non-treatment role as Chief Operating Officer at FPC. He takes special interest in developing, mentoring, and retaining FPC’s physical therapy providers and staff to provide you with a patient experience second to none.
John enjoys spending quality time with his wife and 2 children along with pursuing outdoor adventures that involve hunting, fishing, and boating.

Rebecca earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Lynchburg in 2020. She is particularly passionate about treating patients with vestibular and neurological deficits, as well as pelvic health concerns. Additionally, she is skilled in addressing a broad range of orthopedic conditions.
In her leisure time, Rebecca enjoys reading, hiking, scuba diving, and discovering new places in Colorado with her husband and two golden retrievers.
David Heck, PTA
Clinic Director – Aurora
David graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelors of science in Marketing and a minor in Psychology in 2002. Shortly thereafter he moved to Colorado. While working for a company recruiting traveling therapists it dawned on him that physical therapy was just the field of work he had been looking for.
David enrolled in the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Pima Medical Institute and graduated in the fall of 2013. David works closely with his patients to come up with a unique home exercise program for each patient in order to achieve their goals and maximize function.
David also believes in a hands on approach for each patient to help reduce pain and return patients to doing what they enjoy. David has taken many continuing education classes in order to stay on top of all the latest techniques and treatment styles. He also continues to stay in touch with his school Pima Medical institute and enjoys being a clinical instructor for students of the program. In his free time he enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, and attending concerts.
Brittany Esser, PTA

Brittany is originally from Wisconsin and received her BS at Eau Claire University in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She then went on to Herzing University for her PTA degree. Brittany is passionate about getting people, of all ages, back to what they enjoy. She offers a hands-on approach with personalization treatment plans tailored to the individual. In her free time, Brittany enjoys hiking, skiing, paddle boarding, and exploring Colorado.
Jimmy Covello, DPT
Lead PT – Sloan’s Lake
Jimmy is dedicated to helping patients restore movement, reduce pain, and return to the activities that matter most to them. He works with a wide range of individuals, from athletes and weekend warriors to those simply looking to move more comfortably and confidently in their everyday lives. Jimmy takes an individualized, evidence-based approach to care, focusing on each patient’s unique goals and needs. He is passionate about guiding people through their recovery so they can return to living the life they want.
Spenser Lynass, DPT
Spenser completed his undergraduate coursework at Colorado State University, graduating with a degree in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine. A lifelong endurance sport enthusiast, he also competed for the Rams on the track and field and cross country teams. Spenser then moved to Portland, Maine to pursue graduate studies at the University of New England, graduating with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May 2021. Now back in Colorado, Spenser has been with Functional Performance Center since May 2023 and is passionate about helping people of all ages and backgrounds to achieve their health goals through physical therapy. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and recreating in the Colorado outdoors.
Hannah Templin, DPT
Hannah graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2020 with her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Carroll University in Waukesha, WI in 2024.
Hannah is passionate about treating all patients with a personalized plan of care that is tailored to each individual patient’s needs. Hannah utilizes movement and education to provide the necessary tools for each patient’s road to recovery. In her free time, Hannah enjoys yoga, reading, hiking with her dog, and spending time with friends.
Thomas Camillieri, PTA
Tom attended CU Denver studying philosophy and literature, eventually deciding on the dirtbag life as a sponsored rock climber. He travelled all over the world, returning to Colorado in the summers to climb in RMNP and developing other outdoor areas. After living in Switzerland and working for the Suisse Alpine Club, he returned to Colorado to pursue his love of movement attending the PTA program at Arapahoe Community College. During his internships, he was trained in functional movement and pursued continuing education in manual and exercise technique. In his free time, you can still find him in the Flatirons bolting a first ascent, competing in a local chess league or coaching climbing at Movement Climbing + Fitness.
Laura Kristianson
Patient Care Coordinator
Patient Care Coordinator Laura, a Denver native, is a proud survivor of Lincoln High School; she also went to Gust Elementary where Dave’s wife teaches . She has been in the customer service field over half her life. Her main hobbies are cooking, reading manga and pugs. She enjoys walks on the greenbelt with the pugs, and watching movies with her husband.
Amelia Vogel
Patient Care Coordinator
Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Amelia recently relocated to the Denver area. She has long been interested in healthcare and the many roles within the field. As she works toward her goal of becoming a provider, her work as a patient care coordinator allows her to gain valuable experience in patient communication and continuity of care.
Outside of the clinic, Amelia enjoys hiking, cooking, traveling, working with horses, and exploring Denver with friends.
Shameer Javed
Patient Care Coordinator
Shameer graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with a focus on Biology and Chemistry. Driven to build relationships in healthcare and gain hands-on experience, he began his career as an ER scribe and research assistant. These roles reinforced his interest in patient care coordination as a valuable pathway toward his long-term career goals.
Outside of work, Shameer enjoys playing basketball, gaming with his brother, and reading. He is an avid sports fan and likes to stay up to date with the latest news across professional leagues.
